JELLYSTONE!

Zach and I went to West Yellowstone this past week and we had an absolute blast! I think that Yellowstone is my 2nd favorite spot to go on vacation (the first being Disney land of course). For as long as i can remember my dad's family had this tradition that my great Grandma Curtis started where we ALL would go on a vacation together once every other year. Once my Grandma was too old to this we have stopped going so regularly but decided to take another trip to one of our favorite places Jellystone! The first time our family went here everyone said there was 17 of us that however that was quite a few years ago and this time there was around 40 of us! It was so much fun and we are so glad that we were able to go and spend time with our family.

Almost everyone in my family has a trailer and so we stayed at the Grizzly RV park just right outside the West Yellowstone entrance. Zach and I haven't gotten a trailer for ourselves just yet and so we stayed in a cabin. It was a cute little cabin but there was nothing special to it! The swing on the porch was my favorite though!

Inside all there was was a double bed, bunk beds and a table.

On the back of the the door there was a sign and this is what it said...

I know it is small to read but the best part reads "We do allow pets inside our cabins. We will provide you with an extra sheet to cover the furniture, as pet hair is very difficult to remove from the upholstery." Now here is a picture of what the upholstery was inside this cute little cabin...

It is hard to tell by picture but the mattress is made of plastic! hahaha I am pretty sure that it would be a little hard for an animals hair to get stuck in the upholstery of this fantastic furniture!

We spent most of our days there in the park and saw some really cool animals. We actually saw more bears than any other animal. It was very cool so here are some pictures of what we saw. (Sorry there will be a lot of pictures!)

We saw this little family on the first day we were there. It is hard to tell but it is a momma black bear and her 2 little cubs.

Here is a mommy elk and her her baby

Here is a bald eagle

And of course you can't go through Yellowstone without seeing a TON of bison

Here is another set of cubs and their momma we saw on the 3rd day in the park. They were walking along the side of a mountain and were so fun to watch as they made their way around.

Another bald eagle the picture is a little blurry but he was very cool to see

This is a prong horn all by its lonesome...

We saw this bear on the last day and I think it was my favorite...we saw him on the road you take to get to the North East entrance of the park and there are not very many cars that take the road and so when we got there it was pretty much just us and the ranger. He told us the bear was about 8 or 9 years old and full grown however he would grow a bit in diameter. The bear was only about 30 yards away from us and we were able to just sit and watch him for about 10 minutes as he was eating it was so cool!

Here are some pictures of the scenery there. It is just so beautiful I love it! I am so thankful to live in such a beautiful country!

As you can see in the last picture it even snowed on us! Also while we were there so was President Obama. We saw his car that he was in and ate at McDonald's while he was there as well. We never actually saw him but we saw all of the swat team members and the car that he was in. Some of our family even saw Air Force One take off along with the C5 that carries all of the cars. It was pretty cool to be that close to the President of the United States, even though we never really saw him. Here are just some more random pictures while on the trip...

Here is my little sister Aly pretending to be a walrus...hahaha

And last but not least here is my Great Grandma and Grandpa Curtis. I love them so much and I am so thankful for them and all of the fun trips we went on as a family. We have so many great memories! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!
