New Blog

So tonight as I was posting I decided to update my back ground and in the process I messed up my blog...I know I am one smart cookie! So anywho I have now changed my blog to zachandmegking.blogspot.com so I will be posting on that blog from here on out. Also I lost all of my bloglist so I have to go off of the memory of my computer for all of your blogs so if you notice I don't have your blog added to my list please leave me a comment and I will be sure to get you added again!

Dinner?

For dinner tonight Zach and I were going to have hamburgers and fries. So Zach called me on his way home and asked if I would get dinner started. I heated up the oven for the fries, got the burgers marinated and then Zach come home warmed up the grill and took the burgers out to get them cooking. I continued in the kitchen and cleaned up a little and pulled the fries out while Zach kept going in and out to check on the meat, one time while he was out there I saw him through the blinds shaking his head and I also heard him say "why does everything I touch go to crap?" I walked out to see what was going on and saw the once 4 separate burgers were now into about 50 pieces! hahaha so here is a picture of what our dinner turned out to be tonight.

So since we had fries already cooked we made a quick drive up to Wendy's and bought ourselves some cheeseburgers. I am pretty sure the home made ones would have been better but I prefer to have my hamburger patty in one piece!

Almost done...

We have just about finished Rhett's room. A few weekends ago we went and bought a dresser and a crib. It looks so good in the room with the orange and the brown. All that is left is some wall decorations, a mattress, some touch up paint here and there, Zach has now come upon some extra wood to do some wood floors in the room...oh and of course how could I forget cute little Rhett himself :) So here are a few pictures of the room as of now... (The second picture is a little blurry sorry) I will post another update once the floor is put in.

23 weeks

All I have to say is wow! There are some days that I think to myself this pregnancy of mine has flown by...and then there are others that I feel like little Rhett is still so far away. Zach and I are both getting very anxious to meet him. I think that trying to get his room done and actually seeing some production going on there makes us want that time to be NOW!! (Even though we are still so far away from actually being ready) I am still feeling good. I am feeling Rhett move more and more every single day and I love it. Zach has been able to feel him few times and our family is extremely jealous since they still have not. When we had out ultra sound the tech told us that he has all this room up above my belly button to move around in and yet he still insist that he stay as low as possible. (the reason why Zach is the only one to have felt him squirm! haha) we are hoping that in the coming weeks he will continue to get bigger and be forced to move out of his cozy little bubble that he has come so accustomed to ;) Well here are a few more pictures of how my belly is growing. I thought that I was big at 3 months and then I saw 4 and thought 3 months wasn't so bad...then came month 5 and I sure do have a growing boy in my belly! I am starting to get to the point where people are seeing that I am prego rather than just gaining a few pounds!! What an awkward stage. I am glad that I am getting past that :)

I love my family! They are so funny and can always make me laugh, especially my dad. He is so great I love him so much and love that he is still a little kid sometimes! Here is a picture of us while he is trying to get Rhett to move up and start kicking me so that he can feel it I think at one point during this time he even started to sing to Rhett in hopes that that would help :)

Here we are again, he is trying to show off the fact that my belly is bigger than his

Here is Aly...she is wishing that it was time for her to be prego so that she may gain some help in the "over the shoulder boulder holder" department like I have...I told her I would give her mine if I could have her tiny skinny little body that she has!

New Class

I absolutely love my primary calling. It is very rewarding for me and I am just the type that loves to teach little ones so it fits perfectly. At the starting of every new year the classes always get mixed up and you get a new class, well as I was sitting in my interview with a member of the presidency she asked me if I liked my class and if I would like to stay? I immediately said that I LOVE my primary kids and would love to be able to teach them again if that was in the plan for my particular calling. Well a few weeks went by and before I knew it the year was over and they had moved me to a new class :( our ward is so big that we actually have 2 classes for the 6 year old age and that was the age I was teaching last year. This year they gave me the other 6 year old class. I am excited to teach this new class as well don't take me wrong but I had started to love those little kids and the comments they would make and how fun primary was to be with them as their teacher. During the first week of the new year and with the new class one of my old kids came over to me and handed this letter.

Isn't this so cute! I loved getting this from Annalynn. I loved how there were times where she would spell words correctly and then on the next page you could see it was a little more difficult for her! I thought it was very nice of her to let me know that she enjoyed having me as a teacher as much as I enjoyed having her in my class. I am certain that with the year a head of me and a new class with new adventures I will grow to love this "new" class of mine as well!

Rhett's room

I am now at 21 weeks and I am feeling great. We had a great Christmas spending time with our families. Most of our presents and the money that we got went towards little Rhett! Zach and I are starting to feel the pressure that babies need a lot of things...most of which we don't have, and I am not the type of person to just sit back and relax and then one day just have Rhett here with us. So the day after Christmas Zach and I decided that we would go out and look at some baby stuff. I had absolutely no intention of buying anything then but we ended up buying Rhett's bedding. I wanted to have that picked out first and then base the rest of the room off of that. So we went to Target and found this cute little bedding set that has jungle animals on it. It is so cute it has a giraffe, lion, elephant, alligator and a cute little monkey. It got me so excited that I decided that I wanted to paint the room as well so then we were off to Lowe's to pick out some paint. Now originally I was thinking that the room would be in like blues or greens or something like that but once we got the baby quilt we decided to just grab a bunch of paint chips and decide from there. Needless to say our baby's room is now in a dark chocolate brown color 3 feet up the wall and then a chair rail that will be a tan color that separates the room and the top is a sunset orange color that matches the baby lion that is in the quilt. I know it is a little drastic but I think that it is just in my blood. And it doesn't help that my husband is just the same. So I don't have pictures yet I will post pictures of the finished product but just trust me it will be cute. It is a good thing that my mom is just the same and didn't think that I was crazy when I decided to paint a room in my house orange and thank goodness she is a great painter! Thanks mom!

IT'S A

BOY

That is right we will be the parents to a little boy and we couldn't be more excited. The ultrasound went great and things with our little boy is just fine he is measuring at about 13 ounces in weight and about 10 inches in length which is just right. His heart is beating at about 159 times per minute. At first he was curled up in a little pretzel but we got him to move around a little and then we were able to see that he is for sure a BOY.
When we first saw him on the screen he was reaching down with his hands grabbing onto his little toes and flexing around it was so cute.
It was great to see him move around and know that things are going so well. They recorded the whole ultrasound which was nice so we will have that to look at until he joins us. Zach and I were hoping for a boy so we are very happy and excited. I loved watching him move around on the screen and I think that it was good for Zach to see it and make it a little more real for him. Well we hadn't really talked about names much we thought that we would wait and see what the baby was first but we did have one name that happened to be a boy's name that we both really liked and it has now stuck so we are thinking that this little boy's name is going to be Rhett Johnston King. We can't wait for Rhett to come join us!!
